Pulaski, PA - RICHARD D. JACOBSON, 88, passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2024.
He was born in 1936, the son of Francis and Helen Jane Jacobson (deceased) of Union Township, Pennsylvania.
Dick retired from Panelmatic where he worked in shipping and receiving and was the industrial photographer for their machinery. For many years after he retired, he drove chartered bus tours with George Ku Tours. He was an avid photographer and loved listening to music. He played the sax, clarinet and banjo. Every Saturday night it was Hee Haw followed later in life by the Grand Ole Opry. Dick was an avid traveler and finished visiting all 50 states in 2019.
He was a founding member of the Take It Easy Camping Club. Grange members with tents and campers would gather once a month at a different campground and celebrate fellowship and nature.
Dick was a 74-year member of Mahoning Valley Grange, Lawrence County Pomona Grange, Pennsylvania State Grange and National Grange. He was a very active member during his lifetime. He enjoyed camping and vacationing with family and friends. For years, Dick and Jayne volunteered at the Shenango Reservoir for the Pennsylvania Army Corps of Engineers.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jayne Jacobson, his sons, James (JodiAnn) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Jody of Pulaski, PA and John (friend Bonnie Thompson) of Ocoee, FL and his daughter, Joyce Jacobson-Blakely (James) of Westlake, OH. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his brother, Martin, of Eskridge, Kansas and Margie Morris of Wadsworth, Ohio.
Dick’s family will receive visitors on Saturday November 9, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. at the Mahoning Presbyterian Church, 4401 Skyhill Road, Mahoning Township, Pulaski, PA, where a memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. at the church with fellowship time to follow.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221, Market St., Boardman.
