Virginia (Lippa) Chiovitti

Boardman – Virginia Chiovitti, 69, of Boardman, passed away on Friday afternoon, January 10, 2025 with her loving family by her side.  

She was born June 21, 1955 in Youngstown, the daughter of Steve and Mary (Hibala) Lippa and was a lifelong area resident.

Virginia graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School and then earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Youngstown State University.    

Virginia was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She was proud member of the Republican party and would always talk politics with everyone.

She will always be remembered for her smile and outgoing personality. She was full of life and enjoyed spending time with family, especially her husband going fishing and hunting. Virigina also enjoyed reading and doing bookkeeping.   

She leaves behind to hold onto her memories her husband of over 27 years Mario Chiovitti whom she married January of 1998, a daughter Valerie (Brandon) Aldan, two step sons Michael (Darrian) Chiovitti and Mario Chiovitti II, several grandchildren, two sisters Lorraine Nuzzi and  Patricia (Glen) Hanson along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman and again on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 10:30 am until 10:55 am where a funeral service will take place at 11:00 am with the Father John Jerek as celebrant.   

Entombment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.
