Columbus - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mt. Carmel., Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio officiating, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, Boardman, for Loriann “Lori” Marie Carnevale, 57, of Columbus, formerly of Youngstown, who passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Riverside Hospital.
Loriann will always be remembered and never forgotten for her generosity and smile.
She was born December 1, 1959 in Youngstown, the daughter of John P. and Mary (Falabella) Carnevale.
Lori was a 1977 graduate of Ursuline High School and then continued her education at Youngstown State University where she earned her Bachelor Degree in education. She began molding children’s lives as a teacher at St. Mary School in Warren and moved to Columbus in 1986 where she taught and coached at Southwestern City Schools. While living in Columbus, Lori earned her Master’s Degree in Education from The Ohio State University along with her Principals Certificate. She retired as principal from Madison Plains Intermediate School.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, Youngstown and attended St. Cecilia Church, Columbus.
Lori had many passions throughout her life. She enjoyed going to casino’s, and baking especially all her famous Christmas cookies. She was also a huge sports fan rooting for her favorite teams the Cleveland Browns and Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
She leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories a sister Angela Carnevale of Austintown and Laurel Springs, NJ; brother Vincent Carnevale Sr. of Austintown, nephew Vincent Carnevale Jr. of Canfield, niece Cindy (Ed) Zebosky of Lake Milton, great niece Allison Zebosky; great nephew Zachary Zebosky; special friends Diane Larsuel, Me-Chelle Burkhalter, Jackie and James Williams; Nonnie to Alexis Burkhalter and Jaylen and Jakaysha Williams; puppies, Madame Sadie and Duchess.
Besides her parents, Lori was preceded in death by an uncle Anthony Falabella and sister-in-law Joanne Carnevale.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, August 7, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St. Boardman (new location).
Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
